Zeus Tarot ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our web application.

Questions and prompts you enter for AI-generated reflections
Email address (for account and subscription management, via Lemon Squeezy)
Payment information (processed securely by Lemon Squeezy — we do not store card details)

Information collected automatically:

Session data stored locally in your browser (localStorage) — includes recent reading history and preferences. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers except as part of the reading request.
Basic usage data processed by Cloudflare Workers (our backend infrastructure) — including request timestamps and anonymized usage patterns for rate limiting

2. How We Use Your Information

To generate personalized AI reflections in response to your questions
To manage your subscription and process payments (via Lemon Squeezy)
To enforce fair use limits and prevent abuse
To detect and respond to crisis signals in user input (routing to appropriate resources — see Section 6)
To improve the quality and safety of our service

3. Data Storage and Retention

Most of your personal data (reading history, preferences) is stored locally in your browser via localStorage. Clearing your browser data will remove this information.

Subscription and payment data is retained by Lemon Squeezy in accordance with their privacy policy and applicable law.

Daily usage counts used for rate limiting are stored in Cloudflare KV with a maximum retention of 26 hours, then automatically deleted.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Google Gemini AI — processes your questions to generate AI reflections. Questions are transmitted to Google's API. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle API data.
Lemon Squeezy — handles payment processing and subscription management as our Merchant of Record.
Cloudflare — provides infrastructure (Workers, KV storage) for our backend.
GitHub Pages — hosts our frontend application.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

Zeus Tarot uses browser localStorage (not cookies) to store your preferences and session data on your device. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Lemon Squeezy may use cookies for payment processing — please refer to their privacy policy.

6. Crisis Detection

Our service includes an automated system that scans user input for language indicating a potential mental health crisis. If such language is detected, the service will display supportive messaging and crisis resources rather than proceeding with a tarot reading. No additional data is collected or stored as a result of crisis detection. This feature is designed solely for user safety.

7. Children's Privacy

Zeus Tarot is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided personal information, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Object to or restrict processing of your personal information
